The Oxonian Globalist is an international affairs magazine produced and written entirely by students at the University of Oxford. We are part of a long-established network of student-run magazines: the Global21 Foundation, which has chapters at premier universities around the globe – from Jerusalem, Cape Town and Istanbul to Rio de Janeiro, Beijing and Sydney. Thomas Friedman has called The Globalist “a student-run version of The Economist”, and the publications have collectively reached more than 300,000 students worldwide.
A substantial proportion of our staff writers and editorial team have an international background, and together are engaged in a broad spectrum of graduate and undergraduate study. Our reach extends to most corners of Oxford. We hope to draw upon the incredible diversity of ideas, experiences and perspectives of the student body at Oxford in order provide a forum for insightful student journalism about happenings all around the world.
The Oxonian Globalist welcomes all Oxford students, regardless of course, level of experience, or political leaning. We are constantly on the lookout for passionate writers, editors, photographers, graphic designers and business managers. If you’re interested in foreign affairs and would like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We can always be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
